About Foothills at Red Oak Recovery

Foothills at Red Oak Recovery is a clinically dynamic adolescent treatment program for boys, ages 14-17 and offers a residential program that treats trauma, substance use, mental health issues, grief and loss, adoption and divorce issues, and process addictions. Equine therapy, physical fitness, nutritional education, adventure and experiential therapies, and animal husbandry complement clinically intensive programming. An academic component is also included giving clients the opportunity to stay on track with their schooling while at Foothills. An emotionally focused Family Program centered around improving family relationships, communication skills, and supporting recovery is heavily incorporated to provide healing and growth for the entire family system. Foothills at Red Oak Recovery also offers recovery management services based on the Gorski-CENAPS model of relapse presentation and recovery for clients who have experienced or are about to experience a return to use after ninety days of being in recovery. Our dually licensed clinicians will work alongside a Gorski-trained manager to help clients receive the support they need to get back on track. The team places a significant focus on the thoughts, urges, actions, feelings, and reactions of the individual to work through any issues the return to use may create. Foothills at Red Oak Recovery is CARF accredited and is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and First Health.
