About Foundation for Family Life of Utah
The Foundation for Family Life of Utah (FFL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals rebuild stable lives while strengthening the families and communities around them. Through integrated recovery, mentoring, and family-strengthening programs, FFL supports individuals navigating addiction recovery, reentry after incarceration, and other major life transitions. Our work focuses on the intersection of personal recovery, family relationships, and long-term community reintegration. FFL operates a range of programs including addiction recovery services, transitional sober living, mentoring and fatherhood education, and structured reentry support. Through our MentorWorks transitional reentry program, participants receive mentoring, sober living support, employment guidance, and individualized reentry planning designed to support lasting stability. Program outcomes demonstrate meaningful impact. Participants in MentorWorks experience significantly reduced recidivism, averaging roughly 15% one year after program completion, well below typical post-release recidivism rates. FFL works in collaboration with correctional systems, treatment providers, workforce organizations, faith communities, and other nonprofit partners to support successful reintegration and stronger families. Through the Family Life Coach Institute, a mission-aligned training initiative of the Foundation, we equip professionals to apply evidence-informed family strengthening and coaching practices in their communities.
