Fractal Neurons is an AI research system for pharma/biotech built around a private Dedicated Research Instance (DRI) deployed on-prem/VPC. It connects your internal R&D knowledge (reports, protocols, results, presentations) with external sources (literature, biological databases, patents) — but the key is how it retrieves and reasons. We use shape-based retrieval: instead of hunting for the “right keyword,” researchers search by mechanism, structure, and causal logic. The system can match ideas even when the language is completely different (different terminology, discipline, or phrasing), and surface cross-domain analogies that would normally stay hidden in silos. What this enables in practice: • Identify pathways, targets, and mechanisms linked to a phenotype — even across inconsistent vocabularies • Find experiments/models that actually discriminate between competing hypotheses • Track what was tried before, under which conditions, and what failed (and why) • Pull useful analogies from adjacent fields (another disease, tissue, modality, platform) to propose new directions Unlike “pretty answers” from a generic chat interface, every output in Fractal Neurons comes with an evidence chain: sources, assumptions, and the full discovery path — making the reasoning reproducible, deterministic, and auditable.
