About FRC Team 1939 - THE KUHNIGHTS

We are FRC Team 1939, proudly sponsored by The Barstow School and IDEA Space KC. As part of the international FIRST Robotics Competition, our team of high school students collaborates each season to design, build, and program a competition-ready robot in just six weeks. Each January, a new global game challenge is revealed, and teams from around the world race against the clock to engineer innovative solutions and compete at regional and world championship events. Our team operates like a startup and is run with mechanical, electrical, software, media, and business divisions. Guided by dedicated mentors from STEM industries, our students gain real-world experience in CAD, machining, coding, electronics, strategic planning, and project management. We believe robotics is more than building machines; it's about developing problem-solvers, leaders, and teammates prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.
