About Freelance Cake

Freelance Cake is a business coaching and community designed for advanced freelancers and consultants who want to grow their businesses without burning out. We're here to help you achieve predictable revenue, joyful work, and satisfying lifestyles through proven systems and processes. Our founder, Austin L. Church, began freelancing in 2009 after losing his job. With just $486 and a background in poetry—not business—he navigated desperation with curiosity, making painful mistakes, finding mentors, and uncovering what makes freelance businesses thrive. Over time, Austin discovered a core truth: six-figure freelancers all master the same six areas—positioning, packaging, pricing, pipeline, psychology, and process. These “6 P’s” became the foundation of Freelance Cake, which launched in 2019. We know how frustrating the feast-or-famine cycle can be. If you're feeling stuck, undercharging for your work, or feeling overwhelmed by the hustle, our coaching program and community offer practical strategies and the confidence boost you need to build a business that works for you—not the other way around. At Freelance Cake, we focus on sustainable growth, predictable income, and creating businesses that serve your life—not the other way around. Want to start making money as a freelancer from anywhere? You’re in the right place. ➜ Interested in 1:1 coaching with Austin?
