About Friends of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza

Friends of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, located in Manhattan's Turtle Bay neighborhood, is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization whose mission is the care, preservation, and beautification of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza and its Katharine Hepburn Garden. We work in voluntary partnership with NYC Parks and Recreation, NYPD, and other city agencies. Membership is open to all who share our commitment to public space. Our Board of Directors consists of 100% unpaid volunteers who care about the plaza and garden and bring their various time and talents to it.
