About Frontfiles

Something is breaking in journalism, and it is happening at the infrastructure level. Fabrication has become free, fast, and visually indistinguishable from reality. At the same time, the market for real journalism, for the people who go to difficult places and document difficult things, has never been more exploitative or less sustainable. Frontfiles is the verification and financial infrastructure the journalism has been waiting for. We are building the foundation that makes verified mean something forensic and permanent, and that makes the economics of journalism finally work for the journalists. For the photojournalists. For the newsrooms that cannot afford to be wrong. For the readers who still believe that what is true matters more than what is fast. The future of journalism is verified, or it is nothing. We are building it.
