About Gateway Regional Council, Corp.

Gateway Regional Council, Corp. (GRC) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing equity, resilience, and opportunity in historically disinvested African American urban and rural communities. We operate at the intersection of strategy, systems change, and community leadership, mobilizing human, financial, and intellectual capital to strengthen the people and organizations closest to the challenges they seek to solve. GRC exists to close persistent gaps in access, capacity, and resources by serving as both a trusted partner and a catalyst for action. Through technical assistance, leadership development, research, and targeted investments, we support community-rooted organizations, small businesses, and grassroots initiatives to move from survival to sustainability, and from vision to measurable impact. Our work spans critical issue areas including public health and community safety, racial and social justice, housing and neighborhood revitalization, economic and workforce development, education and research, entrepreneurship and innovation, and policy and systems reform. Across each focus area, we center lived experience, evidence-based practices, and culturally responsive approaches to drive long-term, community-defined outcomes. At our core, GRC believes that transformative change begins within the community.
