About Gender Fucked Productions

Gender Fucked Productions envisions a world where trans, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming artists are able to thrive and make art that pushes beyond any binary we could imagine. GFP advances trans, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming equity through creating supporting artists and coalescing radical community. Formed as a 501(c)(3) in October 2022, GFP has several performing arts projects centering trans, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming (TGNC) artists. We focus on making as much new work as possible and showcasing a multitude of trans talent. GFP has produced 80+ distinct shows and ran 20+ different classes in our 2 years in operation. In 2024, more than 2500 people have attended our shows and participated in the classes. Our biggest projects are: • Queer Dance Freakout is a program composed of artists & storytellers who perform an array of devised performance art pieces. • Trans Voices Cabaret is a cabaret-style showcase of outstanding musical theater performers. • It’s Alive!! is a laboratory of exploration and development for full-length new works by trans and nonbinary playwrights who currently reside in Chicagoland. • Puppetqueers is adult, short form puppet theater for the queers, by the queers. • T4T Open Mics are events made by and for our community to give trans people the chance to perform onstage with little to no barriers.
