About Girls and Goals initiative

Girls and Goals Initiative is a feminist nonprofit organization working to remove the structural, economic, and health-related barriers that prevent girls, particularly in rural and underserved communities, from achieving their goals and shaping their futures. We advance girls’ sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), menstrual hygiene and period equity, quality education, and mentorship by ensuring access to accurate health information, menstrual hygiene services, and educational support, including school fees. Our work addresses key drivers of school absenteeism, limited health knowledge, and gender-based barriers that restrict girls’ choices. Through community-based programs, school partnerships, and advocacy, we equip girls with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to stay in school, make informed decisions about their bodies and lives, and define their own futures.
