About Girls Hearts on Fire

Girls Hearts on Fire (GHOF) is a robust organization focusing on the empowerment of young women through leadership, life-skills, and entrepreneurship. Research has shown that the pivotal age for youth to have access to opportunities having an impact of redirecting a person’s economic outcomes is leading up to 14 years old. For this reason, GHOF focuses on youth starting in the 5th grade and continues support and mentoring through high school. The GHOF program’s overall commitment is to encourage positive youth development. We serve girls in the Tacoma area ages 10-18 and there are three different levels of programming: Sparks – 5Th grade Flames – Middle School Blazes – High School
