About Global Café

Global Café is powered by immigrants and refugees who bring the flavors of their home countries to Memphis. Under one roof, guests can experience thoughtfully prepared dishes, made from scratch, from around the world — each one rooted in tradition and personal story. More than a place to eat, Global Café is a gathering space. We exist to create connection through food — bringing together neighbors from all walks of life who are curious about different cultures and eager to share a table. Located in the heart of Crosstown Concourse, one of Memphis’ most diverse and vibrant communities, Global Café reflects the neighborhood it calls home: global, welcoming, and full of possibility. Global Café is managed by Juan Viramontes, a talented chef who immigrated to California from Mexico with his family when he was a child and who relocated to Memphis for Global Café. Our employees have hailed from Bhutan, Cuba, Mexico, Nepal, Nicaragua, Somalia, Sudan, Switzerland, Syria, Ukraine and Venezuela. Global Café is open for lunch and dinner, has a full bar and provides takeaway and catering options. We are closed on Monday.
