About Global Child and Maternal Health

𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (𝗚𝗖𝗠𝗛) is a Black-led organisation working to advance health equity for Black and marginalised communities. We began in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭 𝗮𝘀 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (𝗚𝗕𝗠𝗛), focusing on research, advocacy, and amplifying Black maternal health movements. As our work and impact expanded, we rebranded in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗖𝗠𝗛, reflecting our broader focus on maternal health, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and environmental justice. With headquarters in London and operations across East and West Africa, we are committed to driving meaningful change through research, policy influence, and community-led action. By challenging systemic inequalities and amplifying underrepresented voices, we work towards a world where every child and mother has access to the care, support, and opportunities they deserve.
