The Global Health and Body Composition Institute (GHBCI) is a nonprofit corporation with a mission to foster body composition expertise, training and certification in health-related professions. The main goals of the Institute are: • To increase awareness of the advantages and limitations of different body composition assessment methods • To increase the accuracy and reliable measurement of body composition assessments • To certify professionals in several methods of body composition assessment • To provide health-related body composition knowledge, fostering improved health and safety • To develop other trainings and certifications in the health-related areas such as osteoporosis prevention, physician education and long-term weight loss
