About Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI)

The Global Polio Eradication Initiative is a public-private partnership led by six core partners – the World Health Organization, Rotary International, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the United Nation Children’s Fund, the Gates Foundation, and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. The goal of the GPEI is to ensure that no child anywhere is ever paralyzed again by any form of poliovirus.
