About Global Strategic Litigation Council

The Global Strategic Litigation Council was founded in September 2021 to empower civil society to advance the rights of refugees and migrants through coordinated strategic litigation and legal advocacy. The Council now has a growing membership of over 600 lawyers, refugee leaders, activists, advocates, organizations and academics across the world. We work to support our members to share knowledge, identify priorities, and execute litigation and legal advocacy strategies. Our current thematic priorities are: Legal Status & Lawful Stay; Detention & Due Process and Climate Displacement. If you are a refugee leader, activist, advocate, organization or academic and you are interested in joining this essential movement, join us by completing the short sign-up form on our website. The Council is a fiscally sponsored project of the Center for Transformative Action, an educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is legally and financially responsible for all our activities (https://centerfortransformativeaction.org/index.php)
