About Global Voyage Inc. a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit

About Us: Global Voyage is a Private Non-profit Educational Organization working with youth from around the world to provide a unique platform for life impacting personal and educational development through hands on life skills activities and humanitarian service to individuals and communities near and abroad. Mission: Our MISSION at Global Voyage is to provide a unique educational platform that empowers youth with skill-sets that will meaningfully impact their future, and to provide humanitarian service for individuals and communities in need. Youth Education: Many youths today graduate high school without an understanding of themselves or the world around them and in turn lack direction and drive as they enter adulthood. The traditional school setting and curriculum are limited to the resources at hand and strict requirements that often result in a lack of engagement or growth for its students. Add to this, socioeconomic disparities as well as limited exposure to varied opportunities and experiences, and many youths are ill equipped to move forward as adults in a confident, productive direction. Global Voyage offers a unique and exciting alternative to this. Youth from around the world will engage in a live aboard sailing education program. Throughout their experience, they learn all the skills involved with sailing a vessel on the world’s oceans in addition to formal and informal coursework in Math, Sciences, History and Life Skills. Working closely as a team with diverse populations of participants and staff, as well as participating in humanitarian service work, are also impacting facets of their learning experiences. Motivation and desire are the primary requirements for this program. Global Voyage is grant funded in order to eliminate financial barriers for individuals that typically would not be able to participate in similar tuition for-profit based programs.
