Global Wakaf Al-Quran (GWAQ) A Purpose-Driven Collaborative Initiative Why GWAQ Exists Global Wakaf Al-Quran (GWAQ) exists to help ensure that the Al-Quran reaches communities across the world - particularly in places where access is limited, fragmented, or inconsistent. The intention is simple but far-reaching; to support the dignified, sustained distribution of the mushaf (copy of Al-Quran) so that its message may be encountered by all who seek it. How We Work (At This Stage) GWAQ is currently a volunteer-driven initiative, guided by trust and shared intention rather than rigid structure. The work is kept intentionally lean, practical, and collaborative, supported by individuals and institutions who believe in enabling impact quietly and responsibly. At present, the initiative is supported by individuals from the senior leadership of ToyyibPay and Yayasan Restu, working together to facilitate outreach, logistics and partnerships. Our Guiding Principle Purpose precedes structure. We believe that sincerity, clarity of intention, and shared values must come before formal roles, titles, or hierarchies. When the purpose is sound, structure can emerge naturally and in the right form. Who Walks With Us GWAQ gradually brings together individuals affiliated with meaningful organisations; educators, communicators, practitioners and enablers, who share a common concern for access, integrity, and reach. Some contribute through advocacy and communication, others through institutional support or quiet facilitation. Participation is values-led, flexible and guided by mutual respect.
