About Good Company Associates

Good Company Associates is a business development consulting and advocacy firm focused on helping large energy users and project developers successfully interconnect, operate, and grow within Texas’s electric system. Through integrated governmental and regulatory affairs services across the electric utility and energy sectors, we help clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes, shape interconnection and market policy, and achieve positive legal, regulatory, and market outcomes. We support clients on large load and generation interconnection matters through state legislative advocacy, regulatory proceedings, and direct participation in ERCOT stakeholder processes. Our team has extensive experience intervening before the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) and engaging at the ISO level to develop market protocols, interconnection rules, and planning frameworks that balance reliability, cost, and economic growth. Our work spans fully regulated and competitive electric markets, including transmission and distribution, power generation, utility scale renewables, on site power, energy efficiency, demand response, energy storage, and smart grid technologies. We maintain strong relationships with policymakers, local government leaders, chambers of commerce, and civic and environmental organizations shaping Texas’s energy and economic development landscape. In addition to regulatory and advocacy services, we provide hands on business development support to industry leading product and service providers. We help companies enter and expand in the Texas market, launch new offerings, and integrate energy related customer services that reduce risk and improve outcomes. Where appropriate, we assist with identifying partners and customers, negotiating contracts, securing incentives and tax abatements, and closing transactions—delivering breadth and depth of service efficiently through our integrated approach.
