About Gracemount Mansion Development Trust (GMDT)

Gracemount Mansion Development Trust (GMDT) is a community-led charity working to restore and reopen Gracemount Mansion House and grounds in South Edinburgh. Our vision is simple but powerful: “A place where we can meet, learn, and grow together towards a sustainable future.” We are creating a vibrant, inclusive community hub that will: 1. Provide learning, training, and volunteering opportunities. 2. Support health, well-being, and resilience for all ages. 3. Deliver youth and family activities with a trauma-informed approach (ACE-aware). 4. Protect and celebrate local heritage, while building a sustainable future. As a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), we work with local people, schools, organisations, and national partners to transform the Mansion into a space that blends heritage, wellbeing, and community empowerment.
