About Grado Design Oy

At Grado Design, we create elegant steel staircases where timeless design meets Finnish craftsmanship. Founded in 2010 by product development engineer Lauri Kristo, our company blends technical expertise with a deep respect for sustainable and responsible design practices. All our stairs are crafted in-house at our workshop in Pirkkala, near Tampere, Finland — allowing us to ensure the highest quality, traceability, and care in every detail. We believe in long-lasting materials, considered aesthetics, and locally made solutions that stand the test of time. Grado staircases are more than just a way to move between floors — they are architectural statements built with integrity and soul.
