About Grameen Pragati

To Proliferate Sustainable and Renewable Best Practices in Rural India. Our mission is to improve the safety and wellbeing of women by providing cookstoves that use less than half the fuel of a traditional three-stone fire. A clean stove like the Berkeley-Darfur Stove® reduces the need for women to take long, unsafe journeys searching for fuel, reduces the need to spend money and use food rations to obtain firewood, and decreases deforestation.
