About Green Anda's
Green Anda's is a pioneering, community-based ecotourism and conservation initiative focused on regenerating Indonesia's vital ecosystems, particularly in and around Ujung Kulon National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the last refuge of the critically endangered Javan Rhino). Our project aligns with the UN's Decade on Ecosystem Restoration by integrating responsible travel with measurable environmental and social impact. Key Initiatives & Impact: "One Trip One Tree" Initiative: Model: We offer impactful eco-tourism experiences—including jungle trekking, kayaking through mangroves, and ethical wildlife viewing—where every booking directly funds reforestation efforts. Conservation: This initiative strategically plants native tree species to restore degraded forest habitats, combat invasive flora like the Arenga palm, and expand critical food sources and safe corridors for threatened wildlife, thereby enhancing the ecological resilience of Ujung Kulon. The English as a Second Language (ESL) Program for Children: Community Focus: This vital program in Pangkalan, Ujungjaya Village, is designed to empower the next generation. It goes beyond language instruction by integrating environmental stewardship, cultural heritage, and sustainable tourism principles into the curriculum. Goals: We equip local children with practical English communication skills to confidently interact with visitors, fostering environmental awareness using the National Park as a living classroom, and enhancing their future economic opportunities as potential eco-guides and conservation ambassadors. Focus: Sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, community empowerment, reforestation, and responsible travel.
