About Green Building Initiative

The Green Building Initiative (GBI) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the built environment and reduce climate impacts through exceptional education, tools, standards, and assessments that deliver sustainable, healthy, and resilient buildings. Our strategy for accomplishing our goals involves education and promotion on the use of GBI's Green Globes certification program for commercial buildings and GBI's Guiding Principles Compliance and third-party assessment program for federal building sustainability requirements. GBI's flagship certification, Green Globes, is the difference between rigor and rigid. Register to receive GBI emails: https://thegbi.org/account/register
