About GREEN HERITAGE ORGANIZATION (GHO)

Green Heritage Organization is a community focused nonprofit organization registered to address the root causes of environmental degradation and food insecurity in Tanzania. We respond to loss of tree cover, declining soil fertility and unstable food systems by equipping farmers, schools and communities with practical skills through training, demonstration farms, tree growing initiatives and partnerships. We learn from and promote proven agroforestry approaches such as syntropic agroforestry, forest gardens, one acre farm models and FMNR to restore land productivity, strengthen climate resilience and generate sustainable income. Our work also includes environmental education programs, tree planting campaigns and the annual Green Network Training Program for university graduates. Our purpose: to empower communities with practical solutions that regenerate landscapes while improving livelihoods. Let's Green Together
