About Grindstone Island Winery

We are a small family winery committed to preserving the beauty & heritage of Grindstone Island - The 3rd largest island in the 1000 Islands Region. We have planted over 2,000 vines on our 3 ½ acre hillside winery, in the center of Grindstone Island. We grow Baco Noir, Prairie Star, Frontenac, Marquette & La Crescent. Our wines are barrel-aged for 1-3 years in American and French oak barrels prior to being bottle aged for an additional 2-3 months.
