About Guardian Whiskers Inc

Guardian Whiskers Inc is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization devoted to promoting the positive impact that animals have on human health and the power of the human-animal bond. Guardian Whiskers reaches youth globally with an online animal-themed short story contest, Taradiddle.org. Children in different age categories submit short stories based on a series of prompts provided. Book Buddies and Kiddos and Kitties are community reading programs that unite kids with dogs or cats to have a non-judgemental reading "buddy" to listen and make reading fun. A growing amount of scientific research shows what a dramatic effect this makes in everything from decreased blood pressure and reduced anxiety to enhanced feelings of well-being. Animals help support heart health; prevent depression; and address the symptoms of PTSD, autism and more.
