Gunii is a South African traditional snack made with local German produce Biltong is a centuries-old South African delicacy, rooted in tradition and perfected over generations. Made from high-quality cuts of beef, it undergoes a meticulous process where the meat is marinated, seasoned with a signature blend of spices like coriander and pepper, then air-dried slowly. This method preserves the meat naturally while enhancing its rich, deep flavour and texture. Unlike jerky, Biltong is never heat-dried, keeping its nutrients intact and delivering a more succulent bite. At Gunii Biltong, our unique flavour is rooted in the experience of making Biltong from a young age, growing up on a farm in South Africa. We wanted to bring the authentic, traditional taste of Biltong with us to Germany. Inspired by the blend of German food culture and the beloved flavours of South Africa, we felt compelled to share our favourite snacks with those who already appreciate its true taste, as well as introduce it to others who have yet to experience it.
