About Habitat for Humanity Allegheny Valley

Habitat for Humanity Allegheny Valley is a 501c3 non-profit that builds and renovates homes for underserved and disadvantaged families. Our organization runs as part of global mission that was founded on the principle that every man, women, and child should have access to a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety; and that decent shelter and decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all. While Allegheny Valley Habitat for Humanity places core programmatic service emphasis to provide home ownership to underserved and disadvantaged residents of the community; our efforts have continually spawned and evolved to provide additional support services that offer opportunity and holistic support resources. These services include the Brush for Kindness program, which provides exterior preservation to low-income families by assisting with repairs and renovations; mortgage counseling services, financial literacy, along with various community partnership alliances. To meet the continual socio-economic demands of the contracting middle class, the organization has commenced strategic planning efforts to ensure greater impact on the communities served through sustainable program practice that further extends opportunity to meet the holistic needs of Rust Belt communities across the Allegheny Valley.
