About Harambee Alliance for Health, Wellness & Aging Society (HAHWAS),

The Harambee Alliance for Health, Wellness, & Aging aims to improve the wellness, aging, and intergenerational community care of Black families in British Columbia and beyond. Its goal is to enhance the health, dignity, and well-being of Black and racialized communities in Canada by addressing issues related to aging, health equity, social justice, and systemic racism through culturally grounded programs, education, research, and advocacy.
