About Harlow & Gilston Garden Town

One of the biggest regeneration and development projects in the UK, Harlow & Gilston Garden Town is a five council partnership delivering 16,000 new homes and a £1.3 billion infrastructure investment over the next decade. Given Garden Town status by Government in 2017, Harlow & Gilston will see new communities built in Water Lane, Latton Priory and East of Harlow with 10,000 homes across seven villages in Gilston. It will also see regeneration of Harlow’s Town Centre with ambitious plans that will bring forward a new Arts & Cultural Quarter alongside a redeveloped Broad Walk area and upgraded Bus Station. Garden Town delivery is overseen by a Joint Committee, chaired by Cllr Dan Swords, Leader of Harlow Council.
