About Hawaiian Building Maintenance

For over 60 years, Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has created partnerships in the Hawaii marketplace with our premium facilities services. HBM provides quality solutions statewide with our services in Janitorial, Building Engineering, Maintenance, HVAC and Lighting. HBM was established in 1957 when Allied United Maintenance began offering professional cleaning services to major commercial clients in Honolulu. Primarily a janitorial company in the beginning, then over the next two decades offered a broader range of customized services to its established accounts. By the mid 90’s, HBM started to expand their Mechanical Maintenance services. The company expanded from one project and six mechanical service employees to currently over 20 engineering and maintenance accounts and approximately 100 building engineering service employees. We have expanded our building engineering services to include demolition and construction services. We also provide Air Conditioning and Refrigeration installation and maintenance services with a fleet of trucks to service many clients. Currently, HBM employs about 700 employees statewide.
