About Hawana Family

The Hawana Family was born on a starry spring night where three old friends, Luca Pepe aka Remov, Morris Modena aka Wame and Andrea Canò aka Dros, shared the shapes and colors of the graffiti they were preparing to create on a wall of one of the new locations discovered in the city. Freedom of expression is the fundamental element of the Hawana Family through which artists materialize every gesture and art form in their works and creations. The sharing of lived history experiences and new innovative artistic ideas act as a link to the various activities that the Hawana Family has carried out, collaborating together with public and private bodies. Art and culture combined with society have been the means through which the Hawana Family has conceived, created and implemented broader projects capable of redeveloping abandoned urban areas and creating new ones to improve urban decor. The 21st century, which is also made up of sharing and social dynamism through the most efficient modes of travel and the greatest means of propaganda, have favored the artistic-intercultural exchange of the Hawana Family with the rest of the world, allowing the creation of great collaborations with other groups and artists from around the world. The Hawana Family is currently engaged in the conception and development of new works of art, exhibitions and events.
