About Headway Huddersfield and District

Headway Huddersfield is a community where people with brain injury are valued, respected and able to fulfil their potential to lead full, active lives. We are a local support group, meeting in Huddersfield once a month, for those who have suffered a head injury whether by an accident or illness. We support survivors of head injury as well as their carers, friends and families. As a support group we provide a meeting place for people affected by brain injury. Our social meetings are informal with occasional speakers, presentations, events and outings. We can lend a sympathetic ear, give information wherever possible and we also try to put people in touch with appropriate professionals when we are able. Anyone who has suffered a brain injury, their carers, family, friends or anyone interested in learning more about brain injury will be made welcome at our social meetings
