Heart of Australia provides equitable access to specialist healthcare for Australians living in rural, remote, and First Nations communities nationwide. We deliver the medical specialists and their equipment to the doorsteps of these regions onboard our Heart Trucks; custom-designed trailers that house the same quality of medical equipment and technology you would expect to find in any urban clinic. Founded in 2014 by Brisbane-based cardiologist Dr Rolf Gomes, Heart of Australia has currently seen over 17,000 patients, saved 750 lives, and has saved patients over 36 million kilometres of travel for specialist appointments.
