HFoPwMS co-ordinates the action of all its member Associations for the advancement and support of the rights of Persons with Multiple Sclerosis. HFoPwMS unites and organizes all the Associations of Persons with Multiple Sclerosis in Greece in a legal entity, expressing their collective will as a secondary body. It nationally represents the Persons with Multiple Sclerosis in all the decision making organs that concern them, in all public services and state organs, in the private sector, as well as in other relevant organs, organizations and bodies in a Balkan, European and International level. HFoPwMS promotes the advancement of the statute of voluntarism and of social solidarity, claims active support of the relative State Authorities and of the wider society, to inform and enlighten on Multiple Sclerosis, as well as to improve the structures of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of Persons affected by Multiple Sclerosis. H Πανελλήνια Ομοσπονδία Ατόμων με Σκλήρυνση Κατά Πλάκας (ΠΟΑμΣΚΠ), η οποία εδρεύει στο Ελληνικό στην Αθήνα, ιδρύθηκε το 2008, είναι δευτεροβάθμιος φορέας στον οποίο εντάσσονται 9 Πρωτοβάθμιοι Σύλλογοι Ασθενών από όλη την Ελλάδα. Διοικείται αποκλειστικά από ασθενείς με  Πολλαπλή Σκλήρυνση – Σκλήρυνση Κατά Πλάκας (ΠΣ-ΣΚΠ), με σκοπό την ενημέρωση και υποστήριξη των Πρωτοβάθμιων Συλλόγων Σκλήρυνσης Κατά Πλάκας πανελλαδικά, την ενημέρωση του ευρύτερου κοινού για την νόσο και την διεκδίκηση εκ μέρους των πασχόντων στην ανεμπόδιστη και ισότιμη συμμετοχή τους στην εκπαιδευτική, παραγωγική, αθλητική και πολιτισμική ζωή της χώρας .
