Herm & Guernsey Oysters are two truly local businesses, growing and supplying the finest quality oysters. Our mission is to supply sustainable, ecologically sound, top quality seafood to the diners of Guernsey and further afield. Guernsey Oysters, working with our partner Sarnia Seafarms, holds the licences for five concessions on the beautiful West coast of Guernsey. Guernsey Oysters is also the part of the business that is responsible for all local sales and is the ‘face’ of the local oyster industry in the island, with its presence at all local public events. Herm Oysters Limited is the concession holder for the oyster farm in Herm which fully utilised, is approximately 8 acres. Herm is the main growing area for our oyster production, given its size, accessibility and growth rate. Some of the oysters grown in Herm are supplied to Guernsey Oysters to supplement the supply to the local market or exported to other markets, predominantly The UK and France. Education and awareness of our industry are hugely important to us, and we encourage enquiries from any groups who want to visit one of the farm sites and learn more. Using our 'fleet' of event boats we can bring #oystersgrowninparadise to any function or event. ‘HMS Oyster’ is available for hire for private functions, weddings & corporate events. She is fully self-contained and can fit into most event spaces, making her perfect for garden parties & small bespoke events, as well as large festivals & public events. If your venue is tight on space, or you are entertaining a smaller group of guests, then 'Tender To HMS Oyster' is perfect for you! With all the charm of her bigger sister, she will make the perfect addition to your event. And if you want to add some sparkle 'Champagne Doris' is the vessel for you! Able to work independently or alongside HMS or T/T, Champagne and Prosecco flows from this original, hand built French fishing boat.
