About HIDDEN DOOR PRODUCTIONS LIMITED

Hidden Door Productions is an award-winning independent production company founded by producer Karen Newman in 2015 and based in Hertfordshire, UK. We develop and produce a slate of distinctive feature films for international distribution and co-production. Our mission is to disrupt the ordinary and push the boundaries of storytelling. We create bold, provocative work that challenges perspectives, sparks conversation, and demands change, embracing risk and backing ideas others won’t. Our stories explore identity in all its complexity, confronting norms and expectations while fostering empathy, connection, and understanding. We believe film has the power not just to reflect the world, but to shape it. At Hidden Door, we champion collaboration, creativity, and fearless storytelling. We invite you to step beyond the expected. Open the door. Be empowered. We disrupt ... unapologetically.
