About Himalayan Chiuri Oil Pvt. Ltd.

Established in 2020 and based in the fertile plains of Bharatpur, Chitwan, Himalayan Chiuri Oil Pvt. Ltd. was born from a deep respect for Nepal's ecological and cultural heritage. For generations, the Chiuri tree (Diploknema butyracea), or the “Indian butter tree,” has been a cornerstone of life in the mid-hills of the Himalayas. Its fruit has provided nourishment, its juice a natural sweetener, and its precious seed butter a traditional remedy for skin ailments and a source of pure cooking oil. We saw an opportunity to transform this local tradition into a sustainable enterprise. Our journey began with a simple goal: to produce premium, pure Chiuri butter using methods that honour both the environment and the indigenous communities who have protected these forests for centuries.
