About Hiraeth Architecture

We are Hiraeth. An architectural practice with a sense of belonging. An architectural practice that creates inspiring places. Places that combine a deep understanding of the site with innovation, craft, and low carbon, low impact design. Our portfolio of work traverses all sectors but with two particular specialisms: 1. Innovative, low carbon design using timber and natural based materials for high performance, whole building systems with modern methods of construction. 2. The conservation, alteration and evolution of sites and buildings of sensitive and specialist interest due to their architectural, social, physical or historical nature. Hiraeth is a Welsh word that means a deep longing for a place that no longer exists or never was. For home and a sense of belonging. This is the spirit that drives us. People who love Hiraeth do so not just for our beautiful, bespoke, climate and socially aware designs, but for our attitude and that we stand for more. Better design, better supply chains, and better solutions. This longing for better is at our core. So say Hi to Hiraeth and join our journey...
