About Homestead Bank

Homestead Bank offers a wide array of financial services to Nebraska consumers, farmers, ranchers and commercial businesses of every size. We originated in Cozad over 100 years ago, and grew to include the communities of Lexington, St. Paul, and Wolbach. In 2011, Schuyler, Albion, and Howells joined our Homestead Bank family, and in 2021 we added Chadron and Ainsworth, allowing us to reach even more customers with our trademark value and service. In a time when many banks are adopting a big-bank atmosphere where people are just a number, Homestead Bank still believes in the value of caring for the customers who keep the Nebraska economy strong. Our knowledgeable bankers give personal service, make decisions locally, provide small-bank flexibility, and cultivate long-term relationships. Our mission is to be a leader in the financial community, to service our customers’ financial needs, to increase the value of our shareholders’ investments, and to offer a challenging and rewarding career opportunity to our employees.
