About Hospitality Bites Media, LLC

Hospitality Bites Media, LLC (HBM) embraces the human side of hospitality. It seeks to create a brand that amplifies individual voices and encourages the industry to prioritize mental well-being, create sustainable workplaces, and foster a culture of inclusivity and support. Founded by Colleen Silk, a hospitality professional for nearly twenty years, working in various roles in restaurants, hotels, and event management, and an ambassador for The Burnt Chef Project, a global nonprofit focused on breaking the stigma around mental health in our industry. Throughout her career, she has seen firsthand the passion, resilience, and creativity that fuel this industry—but also witnessed the unspoken struggles that too many professionals endure behind the scenes. Hospitality Bites Media is a platform and media company dedicated to telling the real stories of hospitality professionals. Through her podcast, Hospitality Bites, I have spent several years leading raw, unfiltered conversations about the uncomfortable and taboo challenges hospitality professionals face—long overdue conversations. Now, we are expanding this mission with two significant projects: UnHospitable – A docuseries focused on women’s health in hospitality, covering topics like perimenopause, pregnancy loss, and the realities of working in a high-pressure industry. Beyond The Burn Out – A live event and future full-scale docuseries where I will travel and sit down with hospitality professionals to discuss their struggles, successes, and the urgent need for better mental health resources. Colleen is actively seeking serious sponsors and/or partners to help grow Hospitality Bites Media. To learn more, please contact her directly or visit https://hospitalitybites.com/.
