About Howies Cider

My grandfather came back from the war in 1946 and co-founded Merrydown Cider with his two best mates. Fermented apple juice in old champagne bottles, set up shop in their garage, and built one of Britain's biggest cider brands. I never got to meet him, but I grew up on the stories, and eventually me and Rob decided we'd have a crack at it reviving the family business ourselves. Howies is named after the old boy. Same slow fermentation process and 100% British apples. Same spirit, new chapter.
