About Hub and Spoke Games

Hub and Spoke Games is a business development partner for the video games industry, working with a small number of service studios and games businesses on a focused, long-term basis. The work sits on the commercial side. Less about activity, more about direction, positioning and making sure effort is actually landing where it should. Most engagements now start by taking a step back and looking at where business development is not converting and why. That work sits under Breakpoint, a focused diagnostic that identifies where things are breaking before anything is changed or scaled. From there, the work either moves into Beans, a non-exclusive service focused on improving positioning, targeting and messaging, or into The BD Guys, where we take on a more hands-on, client-facing business development role. We operate across external development, QA, localisation, audio, cinematics, publishing support and related services, but always with a tight focus on relevance rather than coverage. We only work with a select group of non-competing clients at any one time, and most engagements are long-cycle and relationship-led. The aim is simple. Fewer conversations, better aligned, and more likely to convert into meaningful commercial outcomes. Led by Chris Buckley, with over 30 years on the commercial side of the games industry.
