About Hug a Chicken Productions

Hug a Chicken Productions is a full-service creative hub designed specifically for the modern teen performer. Founded by Stephanie Rue—a professional photographer, seasoned "momager," and industry insider—we bridge the gap between "aspiring talent" and "professional powerhouse." Based in Orange County, we provide the high-end tools, technical expertise, and performance opportunities young actors need to navigate the competitive world of musical theater and film. 1. Professional Portraiture & Headshots We don’t just take pictures; we capture character. Stephanie Rue specializes in natural, authentic headshots that help BFA candidates and professional teen actors stand out in a casting director's stack. 2. The Callback Chamber: A Pro-Grade Recording Suite Self-tapes are the new first impression. We’ve traded the "living room backdrop and noisy leaf-blower" for a custom-built, teen-tested recording sanctuary. 3. The "You Are Enough" Cabaret Born from the mind of teen actress Libby Rue, this quarterly cabaret addresses the "Teenage Acting Dead Zone"—that gap between ages 13 and 17 where professional roles are scarce.
