About Hughes Group

The Hughes Group is a strategic consulting practice that helps organisations turn consumer insight into practical business advantage. Combining academic rigour, commercial experience and a strong media platform, the firm advises boards, executives and growth-stage businesses on translating customer behaviour into clearer strategy, better experiences and measurable outcomes. Its work spans consumer and retail strategy, experience design and transformation, go-to-market and brand positioning, and capability building for leaders and facilitator teams. The emphasis is always on evidence, experimentation and the pragmatic application of theory to deliver results. Clients engage The Hughes Group when they need grounded, actionable insight rather than abstract reports. The firm blends bespoke research and data synthesis with facilitation, co-design and executive education to move organisations from insight to implementation. Commercial strategy is aligned with operational design and communications so that propositions, channels or pricing approaches are well conceived and adopted across the business. Through keynote speaking, media commentary and curated summits, the firm also helps clients tell the story internally and externally, accelerating adoption and reputation. Its pedigree advising leading brands in retail, automotive, healthcare and financial services ensures recommendations are commercially viable and informed by real market experience, not just academic models. Where The Hughes Group differentiates itself is in making complex consumer behaviour accessible and actionable for leaders making trade-offs. Its signature approach emphasises fast, hypothesis-driven research; collaborative co-design with frontline teams; measurable pilots; and scaled rollout supported by executive education so new behaviours stick.
