About Hurricane Consulting

At Hurricane Consulting we're business consultants who 'begin with the end in mind' and why we recommend in times of uncertainty, to zero in on where you want the business to go by focusing on your strategic objectives and determining the best possible path that will get you there - quickly. We can assist with this process and help to convert your objectives into quantifiable milestones that measure progress to ensure you're on the right track. Fundamental to this is transitioning your finance team from a compliance, inwardly focused group to a true value-adding business partner. While compliance is essential, the key is to complete standard tasks as efficiently as possible, to free up time for analysis and projects that deliver ongoing long-term benefits that support the wider organisation. CFO | Interim CFO | Virtual CFO If your current CFO or Controller is being seconded to an internal project or is going on extended leave and you need someone who will hit the ground running, we can provide that resource for you. Alternatively, maybe your business is on the cusp of needing an experienced CFO but not yet on a full-time basis. We can provide a Virtual CFO who is available for one or two days a week, to add the strategic and commercial input you are looking for and provide mentoring to accelerate your finance team's growth. Business Case Development | Lean Finance With competing priorities jostling for limited funds, it can be difficult to get financial projects off the ground. We can help navigate through these roadblocks by developing a solid business case and communication plan that appeals to the emotional drivers of the CEO and leadership team using future-oriented language to create a sense of urgency. In every business there is an element of waste and with close to 30 years of experience we have the skills to identify where in your current financial process your waste is being generated and provide recommendations to reduce or eliminate that waste.
