Hydromec inc., distributor of Ponsse, Hyundai Construction, Landrich and Eltec equipment, is also recognized as the largest regional specialist in mobile hydraulics. The company has experienced accelerated growth since 2011. With two service points in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean (Chicoutimi and Dolbeau), Hydromec is currently one of the best positioned companies to take full advantage of the recovery of the forestry industry. A forester's best friend Hydromec’s priority is to offer the best possible service to a growing customer base. This approach has a positive and direct impact on sales of new and reconditioned forestry equipment, which are increasing sharply. Jean Trottier is very proud to point out that the company has been the exclusive distributor, since 2005, of the products of the renowned Finnish manufacturer Ponsse for all of Quebec and has received the mention of the best Ponsse distributor in the world twice, in 2007 and in 2014 ! Partner with the best equipment manufacturers on the planet The Hydromec-Ponsse partnership is a success for both organizations, since it has allowed the European manufacturer to firmly establish itself on the market, as the current leader of the forestry industry in Quebec. A family tradition of excellence Hydromec, a family business founded by Marcel Trottier in 1975, comes from a solid tradition of customer service that dates back more than 160 years. The Trottier family of Dolbeau-Mistassini now sees the sixth generation of these enthusiasts of mechanics and hydraulics involved. With nearly 75 employees and soon a fourth service point: Dolbeau-Mistassini, Chicoutimi, Amos and Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Hydromec has today become the strongest regional company in the mobile hydraulic field, and soon a player in leading provincial level for the sale and service of mobile equipment.
