About Hydropower Sustainability Alliance

We make hydropower more sustainable for people, nature and the climate. The Hydropower Sustainability Alliance brings together developers, investors, governments and communities to raise the standard for sustainable hydropower. At the heart of our work is the Hydropower Sustainability Standard – a practical framework that assesses and certifies projects across key environmental, social and governance issues, helping them perform better and deliver lasting benefits. Winner of the 2024 IAIA Global Award, we provide a trusted, evidence-based way to distinguish hydropower done right.
