About I Heart Songwriting Club

Since 2014, I Heart Songwriting Club (IHSC) has been helping songwriters around the world to write their best songs yet! With over 25,000 songs written by over 1000 songwriters from 23 countries around the world, it's no wonder entire albums have been written, ARIA awards have been nominated and many career has been launched from this simple writing club! IHSC started when Brisbane singer-songwriter, teacher, and speaker Francesca de Valence was struggling with writer’s block. Realising that many of her peers were in the same situation, Francesca developed a simple solution. A fun, regular email-based songwriting exercise that would spark creativity, encouragement, and importantly, alleviate the anxieties many emerging and professional songwriters have about their work and productivity. It was never conceived to go beyond a few weeks, but word soon spread amongst other writers about the positive impact this practice and community was having on well being, confidence, and songwriting output. Within weeks, songwriters from all around the world reached out to Francesca, keen to be part of the experience – and I Heart Songwriting Club was officially born. Fast forward to today and I Heart Songwriting Club is an internationally-renowned songwriting community. It is a place for songwriters, created by songwriters. Now boasting beginner songwriting courses, mentorship, professional development programs, workshops, and their signature songwriting club, IHSC launched The Magic of Songwriting Podcast in 2022.
